Captain Torrance - Flight Commander, played by Gerard Buttler, asks an official about how he can help.
The official responds with "Fugitive extradition".
Torrance asks if the fugutive it is dangerous and what did he do?
Official's response was "Homicide 15 years ago". The fugutive is played by Mike Colter, popular for his Marvel character, Luke Cage.
Torrance insists he doesn't want to scare the rest of the passengers.
But, the official forces the extradition upon Torrance and tells him there's no other choice.
The flight is then show to be cutting right through the top of a storm.
Things go wrong and we hear the "May Day" call soon into the trailer. This really sets the tone of the movie.
The plane crashes somewhere in the Jolo island cluster. We see survivors being unboarded fromt the plane, including the fugitive.
The trailer suddenly goes into an action mode with a miltant group seen, where you don't clearly understand the proceedings.
We see the captain talking on the phone and asking some authority to listen carefully. He tells his name as captain Brodie Torrance.
Gunshots are fired, captain Torrance is seen in a physical combat.
We then see a character called Scarsdale say "I like this guy". Must be referring to the protagonist.
The passengers of the crashed plane are held hostages and we see Captain Torrance say "I've to go after them, my passengers, my responsibility."
This is when Captain Torrance uncuffs the fugitive (Mike Colter) namely "Louis Gaspare" and asks for his help.
We see Louis hand over a big gun to Torrance. You gonna need this. He says.
This is when Louis and Torrance get to talking and Louis is asked why was locked up.
Louis is heard saying, "No one really cares what happened but they say redemption can be found in the most unusual places."
Louis tells Torrance that if he goes ahead with the rescue, he'd never see his family again.
Torrance tells him to think about the families of all the hostages stuck there. We also hear Torrance say that he has every intention of getting back home.
