Harmanpreet Kaur Captain of Indian Women's Team Scored a brilliant 143 agains England in 2nd ODI at Canterbury England.
Her century proved to be the mainstay of India's ODI series victory with 1 match still left to be played.
Harmanpreet Kaur said that Team India's goal coming into the 2nd match was always to seal the series with a victory.
She mentioned that every player gave in their best for this win which was crucial for the series.
Harmanpreet Kaur said she enjoys being a captain as it allows her to always be in the game.
She disclosed that the initial fifty runs of her century weren't easy and that her partnership with Harleen proved to be important.
She said she gave herself the freedom to bat as she would love to after she was well set.
Harmanpreet praised Renuka Rana who always provides a breakthrough. She also said that the Team depends a lot on Renuka.
She later also added that whoever bowled that day got a wicket for the team.
Upon asked about Jhulan Goswami's retirement she said that Team India will surely miss her and that they have learnt a lot from her.
She added it would be really great for Jhulan Goswami that her retirement would sync in with the game at Lords the Mecca of Cricket.
